In the past, knowledge about growing specific varieties was only accessible to a few, and that expertise was never shared beyond large-scale agricultural operations.
We digitize the expertise of plant scientists by translating their knowledge into algorithms for lighting, hydroponic and climate control systems. Once digitized, we adjust and refine these algorithms and finally share them with our users.
Lighting enables us to replace the sun and grow vertically, achieving a high crop density, regardless of the location on the planet. However, lighting is the main investment component and a significant portion of operating expenses related to the electricity consumption of farms. The efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the lighting solutions used have a huge impact on the length of the payback period.
Light engineering is a key competency of the Visionary Farms team, with experience in creating lighting fixtures that have sold hundreds of thousands of units and lighting installations on a city scale. We put this knowledge towards creating efficient and easy-to-use cultivation lighting to suit your needs.
Our cloud-based software system orchestrates all of the elements of cultivation, automatically creating and maintaining the optimal conditions for your crops.
You interact with the software system through our mobile app, where you can manually set cultivation parameters or access our cultivation recipes. Visionary Farms algorithms are constantly updated and refined to optimise your cultivation.
The core of our solutions is our software system, available to users through our mobile app. The app has an intuitive interface, making Cloud-enabled automation simple and accessible. It is a living ecosystem that we develop in collaboration with our users.

With the help of Visionary Farms lighting, hardware and consulting services, in 2020, the first city farm in the Udmurtia region was launched, which grows greens all year round.

Our R&D centre is located in a repurposed basement boiler
room of an office building.
The centre uses our hardware and software for developing new cultivation algorithms, as well as research and development in the following areas:
Parnik is a trendy salad bar. All of the herbs, microgreens and leafy greens used in its dishes are grown directly in-house using Visionary Farms technology.
The project was completed in January 2020 and continues to operate using Visionary Farms hardware and software.
